Did you know... the name for thyme is traced to Thymus the Greek word for "courage?" This is quite appropriate for an herb that is invigorating to the senses. This little plant has been the symbol for many societies, including the Republican spirit in revolutionary France. An herb for courage is always something to keep in mind as you are preparing for a Humanities test.
